Court Remands Skit Maker Trinityguy In Prison For Alleged Sêxualization Of A Minor

In a recent development, the Oyo State Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, has remanded popular skit maker Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, widely known as Trinityguy, in prison for allegedly sexualizing a minor in one of his viral skit videos.

The court’s decision comes after the Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, called for Trinityguy’s arrest last week, following the circulation of a video featuring his dangerous pranks.

The Oyo State Police Command issued a statement on Friday, announcing that both the skit maker and the parent of the little girl in the viral video were interrogated by the Command and were scheduled to appear in court on Monday, June 26, 2023.

During the court hearing, the counsel representing the defendant, Oludare Adebayo, pleaded for his client’s bail. However, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi denied the bail application, stating that the allegation against Trinityguy is currently under the attention of the state Ministry of Justice.

As a result, the court ordered the remand of both Trinityguy and the parents of the minor girl until the next sitting. Magistrate Adetuyibi adjourned the case until July 11 for further proceedings.
