Couple, Moenika Julisen And Ebrahim Paulsen, k!lled While Sleeping In Their Home

Tragedy struck in Manenberg on Tuesday morning when a young couple was brutally shot and killed in their home.

Moenika Julisen and Ebrahim Paulsen fell victim to unknown assailants who climbed through their window at around 4 am yesterday.

The horrifying incident shocked the neighborhood, with one resident being awakened by the sound of gunshots.

“It was too early, I checked the time and it was after 4 am. We didn’t see who shot them. They have three very young children, and we can’t say that any of them are affiliated to gangs. I know the woman was working, but her husband wasn’t,” the neighbor shared.

Vernon Visagie, the Community Policing Forum (CPF) chairperson, expressed bewilderment over the senseless killing. “We don’t know what the motive is. We don’t know why people are killed in this manner. On Friday, it was a disabled man, and now it is this couple,” he lamented.

“The couple stayed at the back of the house. The killers went in through the window and killed them. Who does something like that? Their children were not in the house at the time of the shooting,” Visagie added.

The police spokesperson, Malcolm Pojie, revealed that Manenberg police have initiated a double murder investigation after the tragic incident.

The victims, aged 26 and 25, were asleep when they were attacked by unknown gunmen who shot them fatally in the head and chest.

As of now, no arrests have been made, leaving the community in shock and mourning the loss of this young couple. (CONTINUE READING HERE)
