Chris Martin, lead vocalist of the globally acclaimed British band Coldplay, has declared Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr as the “soon-to-be world’s biggest pop star.”
Martin made this bold prediction during Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres tour stop at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where he introduced Ayra Starr to an excited crowd.
“This is Ayra Starr from Nigeria. She is going to be the world’s biggest pop star so soon,” Martin said as he welcomed the 21-year-old singer to the stage.
The event featured stellar performances including their joint track Good Feelings and Ayra Starr’s latest release, Hot Body.
The concert drew notable attendees including football legend Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo.
