Chelsea Football Club has initiated talks with Liam Rosenior, the current head coach of French side Strasbourg, to become their new manager. This move follows the recent dismissal of Enzo Maresca due to a disappointing Premier League campaign that left the team trailing far behind the leaders.
Rosenior, who arrived in London for discussions with Chelsea officials, has earned recognition for his attacking philosophy and his ability to develop young talent, evidenced by his work at both Strasbourg and previously at Derby County. Strasbourg, notably, is owned by BlueCo, the same parent company as Chelsea.
The London club is aiming to finalize the appointment swiftly, with a league match against Fulham approaching. Talks are ongoing, and Rosenior is expected to be confirmed as the new head coach pending final agreements. Any such move would be contingent on Strasbourg securing his replacement, with names like former Premier League manager Gary O’Neil reportedly under consideration.
