An improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Boko Haram terrorists on the Pulka/Firgi highway in the Gwoza Local Government of Borno murdered seven farmers inside a commercial vehicle.
According to sources, the tragedy occurred early on Monday, January 29, 2024, when the vehicle carrying the victims ran over the planted explosive.
The explosion crushed the bodies of no fewer than 13 deceased passengers to pieces while other passengers had serious injuries.
ISWAP and Boko Haram terrorists have turned to extreme but desperate measures in an effort to thwart the destructive assault of the Nigerian Military into their strongholds.
Since they are weak and running low on ammunition, they increased the use of IEDs as their primary weaponry.
Innocent bystanders, primarily women and children in Borno state, Northeastern Nigeria, had lost their lives to these landmines in recent days and weeks. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
