Mother and younger brother of Sibongile Zimba, a 34-year-old nurse at Nchanga South Hospital in Chingola District, Copperbelt, discovered her lifeless body in her Willougby Court apartment.
The mother tried to open the door, but it was locked from the inside. She called her son, who climbed the balcony and entered the flat, desperate to get to her daughter. They came across a somber scene there: Sibongile was dead and lying on the ground.
Next to her body was a glass filled with an unidentified liquid, syringes and a cannula suggested a desperate move. Sibongile seems to have injected a deadly poison into herself. Although there were no outward signs of physical harm.
The gloomy incidence was reported by Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba. Officers were on the scene in a flash, assembling the pieces of Sibongile’s last moments. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
