Bandits Storms Kogi University, Abduct Unspecified Number Of Students

A group of bandits kidnapped many students from the Confluence University of Science and Technology in Osara, Okene, Kogi State, on Thursday night.

According to an eyewitness testimony, the assailants ambushed the campus at approximately 9 p.m. while the students were cramming for their impending examinations.

According to the informant, the bandits entered three lecture halls via the bush and started shooting into the air to frighten the students.

“But the efforts minimised the damage as the attackers didn’t go beyond the first three halls,” the source said.
