In a significant political development, Abba Atiku Abubakar, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He has pledged to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Abba was formally received into the party on Thursday evening in Abuja by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, and the APC’s National Vice Chairman for the North East, Mustafa Salihu.
To align with his new political direction, Abba has also renamed the political organization he founded. Originally established in 2022 as the “Atiku Haske Organisation,” the group will now be known as the “Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation,” signaling a clear shift in allegiance toward the current president.
