Yangoji village, located in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was thrown into chaos as armed men invaded the community and abducted a seven-year-old girl.
The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday, June 7, 2023, according to a resident named Suleiman Musa.
The hoodlums arrived in the village, unleashing a hail of gunfire before forcefully entering several houses and snatching the young girl.
Fortunately, a prompt response from a police team compelled the assailants to hastily retreat from the village. The Kwali Divisional Police headquarters was alerted to the attack and swiftly dispatched a team to the scene at approximately 5 am.
Upon encountering the security team, the criminals engaged them in a fierce gun battle before managing to escape with the abducted child.
Presently, the security forces are intensively scouring the area, determined to rescue the victim and apprehend the abductors.
