The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration deadline to February 8, 2026, and rescheduled its upcoming ward congresses and national convention.
The decision followed a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee on January 30, 2026, as announced by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
The party stated that the registration extension was made in response to appeals from stakeholders for more time to allow members and supporters to complete their registration and data validation.
According to the revised schedule, ward congresses will now be held on February 18, 2026. The national convention is slated for March 27 and 28, 2026.
Ward congresses will not be held in Osun and Ekiti States or the Federal Capital Territory due to impending elections in those areas. Rivers State was also excluded because its current state executive committee’s tenure is still active.
Morka added that a National Convention Planning Committee has been established, with further details of the revised calendar and committee structure to be communicated subsequently.
