The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has secured the conviction of a civil servant, Ahmad Kabiru Gana, for a job scam in the country.
The anti-graft agency made known in a statement shared via their Twitter page on Tuesday after the kaduna zonal command secured his conviction.
The convicted Gana promised to assist the petitioner in joining the Nigeria Police Force for a cost of N287,000 which he failed to fulfil.
The statement said, “Court Jails Gana for Job Scam The Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC has secured the conviction of one Ahmad Kabiru Gana before Justice A. A Bello on a one-count charge bordering employment scam.
“Gana, a Civil Servant had promised to help enlist the petitioner into the Nigeria Police Force at a cost of N287,000 ( Two Hundred and Eighty-Seven Thousand Naira Only) but failed to deliver after payments were made in trances into his account.”
