Añgry Patients protest lack of power, water in UCH Ibadan

The Patients of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, the Oyo state capital and family members have protested the unavailability of power and water in the health facility.

The patients, in a video seen online, were visibly angry demanding the provision of water and power.

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) allegedly disconnected UCH’s power for 17 days, which affected important operations like test results and surgeries.

The management of the facility however claimed that the hospital falls under the “Band A” electricity tariff structure, which requires them to pay between N88m to N99m monthly. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
