American Entertainer, Jennifer Lopez Reply Critic Says Decision To Take Husband’s Last Name Not Anti-feminist

Jennifer Lopez, a Popular American entertainer, has defended her decision to take on her husband, Ben Affleck’s last name.

It was gathered from a cover story for the December 2022 issue of Vogue, released on Tuesday, Jennifer Lopez explained that her decision was a power move because she’s in control of her personal life.

Jennifer Weiner Who had sometimes ago published in the New York Times in July criticised Lopez for making the choice of taking her husband’s last name. Weiner had said, “At this fraught moment for feminism in America, a woman like the former Jennifer Lopez deciding to change her name feels especially dispiriting.”

Responding to the criticism of Weiner, the Entertainer Mrs Affleck said, “People are still going to call me Jennifer Lopez. But my legal name will be Mrs. Affleck because we’re joined together. We’re husband and wife. I’m proud of that. I don’t think that’s a problem.

“It feels like it’s a power move, you know what I mean? I’m very much in control of my own life and destiny and feel empowered as a woman and as a person.”

It was recalled that Jennifer Lopez and Affleck, first dated from 2002 to 2004, rekindled their relationship last year, 2021 and got married this year, 2022.
