Alex Iwobi Makes A Comeback On Social Media After AFCON Criticism

Alex Iwobi, the midfielder for the Super Eagles, has returned to social media in the wake of Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final matchup with Cote d’Ivoire.

Iwobi reportedly removed all of his Instagram posts in response to negative feedback over his performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 27-year-old was the target of online abuse from Nigerian supporters after the Super Eagles’ 2-1 loss to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in the final match of the tournament.

However the Nigeria Football Federation, the Sports Ministry, and his teammates all backed the Fulham player.

However, a few weeks later, the Super Eagle made a comeback to the online platform and uploaded a video with the description “Lately.”

The clip in the video seems to be a teaser for an upcoming rap tune.

Fans and followers pounded him with comments after seeing his message.

Many of his teammates offered their support in the comments section, including Kenneth Omeruo, Frank Onyeka, and William Troost-Ekong. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
