Air Force Chief Commissions New Kaduna Projects to Boost Training and Welfare

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has commissioned a series of new infrastructure projects at the Air Training Command (ATC) in Kaduna, aimed at enhancing the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) training capabilities and improving the welfare of its personnel.

The commissioning took place during Aneke’s first operational tour of the ATC in Kaduna. During the visit, he also conducted inspections of existing facilities and held a formal durbar meeting with officers, airmen, and airwomen stationed at the command.

Strategic Focus on Training and Innovation
Addressing personnel, the CAS highlighted Kaduna’s historical and strategic importance within the NAF. He stressed that operational effectiveness is fundamentally built on high-quality training, robust support systems, and the adoption of emerging technologies. Aneke underscored the necessity for standardized programs, continuous innovation, and strategic partnerships to develop the skilled manpower required for successful air power operations.

Commitment to Personnel and Modernization
Aneke praised the dedication of the Kaduna-based forces and assured them of the leadership’s ongoing commitment to their welfare and combat readiness. This infrastructure initiative is a key component of the NAF’s broader modernization drive, designed to ensure the force remains agile and fully equipped to meet Nigeria’s complex and evolving national security challenges.
