Afrobeats Star Davido Says: “I Don’t Go to Nightclubs Anymore”

Superstar singer Davido has disclosed that he has left behind the vibrant party scene that characterized the beginning of his career, citing maturity, family, and the need for rest as his new priorities.

In an interview on The LongForm Podcast on YouTube, which aired on Monday, the artist reflected on how early fame, wealth, and influence immersed him in a relentless nightlife culture.

“That freedom, power, and money at that young age… I used to wild out, man. But these days, I don’t even go to the club, bro. I’m telling you, I used to go to the club every day. It was part of us; it was like we were going somewhere to be,” he shared.

Davido explained that his perspective has evolved over time. He now places greater importance on relaxation, spending time at home, and embracing his responsibilities as a family man, rather than pursuing a non-stop party lifestyle.

He credited personal growth and an increased sense of responsibility with fundamentally reshaping his daily life and his approach to fame.
