The Abia State University revealed it has approved the stoppage of issuance of statements of results, SoR.
The school management has also decided on the validity of those already issued for all programmes offered by the university.
This was contained in a memo signed and issued out by the vice chancellor, Professor Onyemachi M Ogbulu dated August 1, 2023, and released on Tuesday.
The statement in part said,
“This is to inform all First and Higher Degree Graduates of the Abia State University that following resolution of the Senate of the University, the vice-chancellor, Distinguished Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, has approved the stoppage of issuance of statement of result as well as determined validity of those already issued for all programmes offered in the university.
“Henceforth, all First and Higher Degree Statements of Results already issued by the university shall cease to be valid from December 1, 2023, in line with global standards.”
