Nigerian Bitcoin expert, Gaius Chibueze, remains steadfast in his promise to sponsor Mmesoma Ejikeme, despite recent investigations exposing her for forging her UTME scores.
Chibueze, the founder of Tatcoin, initially made a scholarship offer to the 19-year-old student, allowing her to study in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
On Monday, July 3rd, Chibueze took to his official Twitter account to announce his commitment to sponsoring Ejikeme through his company.
However, an independent investigation panel established by the Anambra State government has now completed its review and has released its findings today.
The panel’s investigation revealed that Ejikeme had presented a fraudulent UTME result, confessing to altering her JAMB scores from 249 to 362.
Despite these revelations, Chibueze seems undeterred and has chosen to uphold his pledge to the young girl.
In a statement, he expressed his perspective on the matter, stating, “If Nigeria didn’t celebrate elected officials who rig elections, young people won’t forge certificates.”
With this sentiment, Chibueze reasserted his commitment to sponsoring Mmesoma Ejikeme’s education, disregarding the recent controversy surrounding her JAMB scores.
