President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his commitment to utilizing digital technology to propel Nigeria’s envisioned socio-economic advancement, which is crucial for societal transformation.
He conveyed this message during a meeting with a delegation from Google (West Africa) led by its Director, Olumide Balogun, at the State House in Abuja.
President Tinubu emphasized his administration’s dedication to using education and technology to enhance the well-being of citizens, underscoring the pivotal role of education in elevating Nigerians.
“We are here to shape our tomorrow, today, and I’m determined to make it happen. Our youth make up more than 65% of the aspiring developmental segment in Nigeria.”
He urged Google to collaborate with the government in utilizing data within the public sector to enhance service delivery.
“Ensuring the integrity of transactions across the country to serve over 200 million people is a significant task,” the president stated in a statement released on Thursday by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
President Tinubu revealed his plan to involve more young individuals in his administration to further drive transformative efforts and achieve substantial progress in the sector.
