Six police officers who were slain in Ughelli, Delta State in February 2024 were given posthumous honors at the award and Commendation Ceremony on Monday in Abuja.
Their relatives also collected the money due to them at the ceremony. We applaud the IGP’s kindness and initiative in responding to their families’ predicament, a police statement said.
Police spokesperson said, “We are also grateful to the governor of Kano State for his 20 million naira gift.”
Additionally, the Senate gave 20 million naira, while the Senate President donated 6 million naira.
He added, “We applaud those who have expressed a desire to assist the families of our dead warriors. God bless each and every one of you. May our departed warriors’ souls rest in peace.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
