25 Students K!lled As ADF Militants Attack Secondary School In Kasese, Uganda (Video)

At least 25 students have lost their lives in an apparent attack by fighters belonging to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in Kasese, western Uganda.

The Chimp Corps, in an exclusive report, revealed that the militants targeted Peter Hunter Secondary School located at Nyabugando in the Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council, near the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), during the late hours of Friday.

Local officials, who spoke to reporters in Kasese on Saturday morning, described a horrific scene, as the charred remains of the students were discovered within the school compound. The attack occurred while the students were asleep in their dormitories, rendering them defenseless against the assailants.

Following the distressing incident, law enforcement agencies and the military swiftly deployed counterterrorism units and specialized combat forces to the affected school. These forces aim to investigate the attack, bring the perpetrators to justice, and prevent further acts of violence.

A local official, speaking under the condition of anonymity, revealed that the attackers also set fire to the school van, adding to the destruction and chaos. Furthermore, the militants broke into the school’s storage facility, where they looted food supplies, including posho and beans, along with other items.

Tragically, it has been reported that the assailants also kidnapped an unknown number of students before retreating back across the border into the DRC. The fate of the abducted students remains uncertain, and efforts are underway to locate and rescue them.

This distressing event marks the second time in less than a year that militants have launched an attack on Ugandan soil from the neighboring DRC.

The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by the region and the need for heightened vigilance and coordinated efforts to combat these threats.
