19-yr-old Lady, Rhea Mae Tocmo, Found Dêad And Stuffed Inside A Box And Dumped On The Road

Police in Cebu City have identified the woman found dead and stuffed inside a box along the road in Barangay Tisa.

The victim has been confirmed as 19-year-old Rhea Mae Tocmo from Davao, according to Police Major Angelito Valleser, chief of the Punta Princesa Police Station.

Investigators discovered that Tocmo’s relatives in Cebu positively identified her body, recognizing her favorite pair of shorts. The clothes she was wearing when last seen alive matched those found on her corpse.

Tocmo’s body was discovered wrapped in a white blanket, with her hands tied inside a discarded box on Katipunan Extension in Barangay Tisa on Monday, July 17.

While Valleser mentioned that they have leads in the case, he declined to disclose further details, including potential persons of interest, to avoid interfering with the ongoing investigation.

The police have begun collecting closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from locations where Tocmo was last seen, including Mandaue City, where she was residing with relatives.

Additionally, they plan to acquire CCTV videos from local inns, as the white blanket used to wrap the victim may have originated from such establishments.
