Social media videos show that some troops entered Banex Plaza, an electronics and telecoms gadget market in Abuja, after a fight broke out on Saturday between some of their colleagues and some businessmen.
In one of the videos, people can be seen fleeing as military come on the area along with traders.
In a different video, several people were being punished by the troops.
According to reports, a free-for-all in the plaza on Saturday featured a large number of citizens defeating a few military in a viral video.
According to a dealer, the dispute started because of a mobile phone sale.
