Angry protesters mount roadblock on Lafia-Jos road over Governor Abdullahi Sule’s victory at the Supreme Court.
Some residents of the state protest in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, following the Supreme Court’s ruling, which dismissed the appeal of PDP’s Emmanuel David Ombugadu and upheld the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule
As at the time of this report, Lafia-Jos road is completely blocked as PDP supporters burn tires at the State Secretariat, creating a roadblock for passersby, which has forced motorists to use alternative routes.
Although security personnel are present, restoring calm and ensuring no escalation, shops and business centres including schools within the Lafia metropolis have abruptly closed. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
