A young man identified as Mohammed Tanko, was arrested at Kurikyo, Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, on suspicion of stealing a ram.
The suspect—a resident of the area—was alleged to have killed the stolen ram before being captured by several Anguwan Gayam locals on Sunday, March 31, 2024,
An eyewitness said that after being “thoroughly beaten,” the suspect was turned over to security for the proper course of action.
According to the defendant, who admitted to the crime on Sunday, he took the ram to satisfy his own personal demands.
