The lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has apologised to a former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili over her recent brawl with Onyekachi Nwaebonyi.
Akpoti-Uduaghan said Ezekwesili took the insults hurled at her by Nwaebonyi, the lawmaker representing Ebonyi North during the senate ethics committee hearing on the sexual harassment allegation against Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, for her and every woman.
Ezekwesili and Nwaebonyi engaged in war of words at the panel on a fresh petition submitted by Akpoti-Uduaghan against the Senate President.
Crisis struck when the former minister told the lawmaker to shut up during the panel.
Reacting to the face off, Akpoti-Uduaghan wrote on X, “Dr. @obyezeks , Ma’am, I apologise for the insults.
“Know you took them for me… for us … as a mother and as a leader. Know that you are a true icon of integrity, courage, and visionary leadership.
“Your unwavering commitment to good governance, education and democracy continues to inspire generations. A champion of accountability…Nigerians appreciate you.
