Grammy-winning Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu, best known by his stage name Burna Boy, appears to have addressed Brymo’s recent accusations that he is a superior artist than his colleague.
In a recent interview, Brymo stated that Burna Boy’s musical quality falls short of his expectations.
He claims that he is the “finest vocalist on the continent” and that Burna Boy and other African musicians are not as good songwriters as him.
Burna Boy reacted by saying that Brymo was using his name to get influence.
He said that Saheed Osupa, K1 De Ultimate, and Fuji legends are better at singing “Yoruba proverb music” than Brymo is.
On his Instagram story, Burna Boy wrote: “At this point they do and say anything to get at the king.
“Werey dey sing Yoruba proverb music for us. When K1 and Saheed Osupa dem still dey carry us trabaye.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
