You Don’t Exist, I Determine Your Existence – Fubara To Rivers Assembly Members

The governor of Rivers, Siminialayi Fubara, asserts that the existence of the state house of assembly is mainly based on his recognition.

Fubara said this while giving a speech on Monday at the government house in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers, during a visit by a few political and traditional leaders from Bayelsa state.

The governor of Rivers stated that the state assembly’s members do not “exist,” adding that he made the decision to “give them a floating” by means of a peace agreement that President Bola Tinubu had started.

According to Fubara, he agreed to the peace agreement with the assumption that he would have a connection with the state assembly members.

Despite his authority, the governor of Rivers claimed to have exercised moderation in the political crises roiling the state, something the opposing party had not done.

He bemoaned the everyday assaults and harassment that his followers endure throughout the state.

“Those group of men who claim that are our assembly members are not assembly members — they are not existing,” Fubara said.

“I want it to be on record. I accepted that peace accord to give them a floating. That is the truth.

“There was nothing in that peace accord that is a constitutional issue. It is a political solution to a problem.

“It has gotten to a time when I have to make a statement that they are not existing.

“Their existence is me allowing them to exist. If I de-recognise them, they are nowhere.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
