Wizkid is my favorite African artiste, I became his fan from the very first day I heard “Ojuelegba”—- Rihanna

The American hip hop artiste, Rihanna has declared her love for Nigerian music star, Wizkid.

The music star said,

“Wizkid is my favorite African artiste, I became his fan from the very first day I heard “Ojuelegba”. He’s just amazing and I like his composure and the way he carries himself.”

“I met Wizkid a couple of years ago and he was such a cool good looking young man. “

“But I was shockęd with the fact that I stood before him and he pretendęd like he didn’t know me. I looked at him intently so he’d notice that I wanted to speak with him but he wasn’t moved. “

“So I walked up to him and I was like “Hi Wiz” and he was “Hi, you look so familiar. Where do I know you from?” And I was like who doesn’t know me? But then I introduced myself to him and he said “Oh, I thought as much.”

And he didn’t even ask for a picture, autograph or anything. Then from there we exchanged contacts and later linked up in the studio weeks later and recorded a song which was meant for my album but was never released. “

“So I was like since we couldn’t release this one, the next time you’re making an album just call me. And he told me he’ll think about it. “

“Then like 2 or 3 years later I heard that he wanted to release an album, I think it was titled “Made In Lagos” or something and I still love a lot of songs in that album then I reached out to him so he could put me on the album but he told me that the album was already ready and he wasn’t ready to re-record again. “

“And I was like WTF! Then I just decided to be watching his moves and following him more closely and when he announced the release of his forthcoming album, “Marayo”, I reached out to him and I as like “Wizkid please you have to put me in this one.” Then he said that “Ok, I’ll put you on.”

“Just come to my studio when you’re ready let’s record and I said it would be better he came to my own studio but he said he doesn’t have time. “

“So I went to his studio and he still didn’t ask for pictures or autographs just like the last time we met which didn’t surprise me and we made our song which is gonna be in his album. “
