A popular nollywood actor, Fredrick Leonard, has kept wondering if Nigerian students who had been at home for nearly six months over prolonged ASUU strike will still cast their vote for the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC in the upcoming election.
The actor taking to his social media handle asked the question ‘politely’. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU had embarked on strike since the 14th of February, 2022 over government inability to meet demands.
The actor having concern on the incessant strike asked “Will any of these students currently on ASUU strike and completely ignored by this government vote for the current political party in the coming elections?” he asked.
“I’m just asking politely.” Will they remember? Will they be manipulated? Will they be purchased as a result of the deliberate creation of hunger in the land? Or will they be brave enough to try something new and different in order to achieve something new and different?” He said
