Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has voiced his deep disappointment and sense of betrayal over the absence of fellow veteran singer, General Kollington Ayinla, at his mother’s burial.
Speaking in an interview on Agbaletu TV, K1 recounted how he had once gone the extra mile for Kollington during a similar period of mourning—personally financing the burial of Kollington’s late mother and ensuring the event was well-attended by dignitaries.
K1 questioned why someone he had supported so generously would fail to show up for him, especially when Kollington is in good health and resides in Nigeria.
Reacting to the claim that Kollington had attempted to call him without getting a response, K1 said the explanation felt inadequate and disrespectful, adding that it left him feeling both angry and hurt.
“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum. When his mother passed away, I supported him in giving his mum a befitting burial. I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial for him, and I handled all the finances 100%. See how he paid me back.
“He is in Nigeria, hale and hearty, and the only excuse he gave was that he called me and I didn’t pick up. Am I not supposed to be angry?” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
