Nigerian Controversial singer Portable has opened up about the story behind his mysterious Instagram name, “Elizabeth Joyce.”
In an interview with content creator Egungun of Lagos, Portable revealed that the name is tied to his life before he rose to fame in the music industry.
He explained that he originally created his first Instagram account under the name “Elizabeth Joyce” during his involvement in internet fraud, commonly referred to as “Yahoo.”
At the time, Portable used a white woman’s photo as his profile picture, a tactic he later abandoned after gaining popularity.
He said:
“Make I no lie for you, E get one Facebook and Instagram account wey be say that time I wan learn Yahoo ( internet fraud),” Portable admitted.
