Farida Sobowale, Nigerian Socialite, has explained why she attempted to commit su!cide by plunging into the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos on Thursday night, 17th of August, 2023.
Freshreporters media had noted from a viral voice note on social media, Farida said her marriage with another Lagos socialite, Demola Okulaja, that crashed two months after their N100 million wedding, caused her a lot of pain.
She revealed after he walked out of their matrimonial home, she has been frustrated with many su!cidal attempts.
According to her,
“Friends and families warned me not to go into the marriage. They told me that the man only wanted my money but I was recalcitrant. It was love that pushed me into this.”
“He told me that he was going to be with me, make me bore children for him. I am so sorry for putting my children in such a position. I would not have forgiven myself if I had abandoned them after committing suicide. “
“I have forgiven my ex-husband. May God provide him with another wife,” she said
Farida was rescued by passersby on that’s some Thursday evening, August 17, while attempting to jump into the Lagos Lagoon.
