Why I abandoned palm oil business to sell hûman skülls – 31-yr-old Ondo state suspect

One Yusuf Adenoyin, 31 years old was nabbed by the Ondo State Police Command, who was allegedly caught in possession of eight dry human sk¥lls.

According to reports gathered, the suspect was arrested on Monday, 10th of June, 2024, during a stop-and-search in Isua-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking to newsmen when he was paraded at the State Police headquarters, Adenoyin said the economic downturn pushed him to abandon his palm oil business and embrace the selling of human sk¥lls when he noticed it was lucrative.

He explained how he met an herbalist on a social media platform who introduced him to the distribution of human sk¥lls. He said he buys skulls from someone who sources the consignment from graveyards, while he distributes it to those who need it.

The suspect explained that he buys at the rate of N20,000 per skull, while he sells to his customers in Osun State between N30,000 and N35,000 each.

He said the eight skulls found in his possession by the police were dry and with a certain fresh flesh which he claims to be a dog’s heart.

According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the suspect was arrested on Monday by officers attached to the Police Safer Highway patrol at Isua/Epinmi checkpoint.

“While the vehicle was being searched, one of the passengers took to his heels and the police pursued and arrested him. He was searched and eight dry human skulls, fresh human fl£sh, and charms were found in a wrapped polythene bag concealed in a garri sack he was travelling with,” the statement reads.
