“When I Lost My Dad, Christian Paid My School Fees Till I Graduated”: Dr Craze Mourns Ghanaian Footballer Atsu

Emmanuel Iwueke, popularly known as Craze Clown, has shared details about his relationship with the late Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu, who tragically lost his life in the recent earthquake in Turkey.

Atsu had been reported missing since February 6, following the destructive earthquakes that claimed the lives of tens of thousands in Turkey and Syria.

On Saturday, the footballer’s body was discovered amidst the rubble, prompting an outpouring of grief and condolences from the global football community. Taking to Twitter, Craze Clown reminisced about his cherished moments with the former Chelsea and Newcastle striker.

The comedian revealed that Atsu had reached out to him after the passing of his father and had pledged to sponsor his education until graduation, which he fulfilled.

“When I lost my dad, he reached out and offered to pay my fees til I graduated and he did. you’ve been a great friend of mine Chris and I will surely miss you. I really can’t hold back the tears. Rest well brother.”
