The Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s female basketball team, D’Tigress, on their 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship win.
The team emerged champions of Africa again following their 84-74 win over Senegal in the final tournament on Saturday at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda.
Tinubu congratulated the team via his twitter handle said,
“I congratulate our very own D’Tigress #tigressNG for a well-deserved fourth consecutive AfroBasket Women Championship.
“We are proud of you.”
D’Tigress, had on Saturday, defeated Senegal to win the 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship for the fourth consecutive time at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda.
