Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Kano to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the wedding Fatiha of the son of former Vice President Namadi Sambo.
The ceremony is taking place at the Al-Furqan Mosque in Kano.
According to a post on the X handle of Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), Shettima was received on arrival by Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, who stood in for the governor.
Former Vice President Namadi Sambo, Mohammed Danjuma Goje (Gombe Central), and other dignitaries were also present.
The Vice President extended well wishes to the newlyweds, praying for a blissful marital life with the blessings of Almighty Allah.
