Vice President, Kashim Shettima and wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima, led the Nigerian delegation to the 50th Independence Day celebration of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe.
Shettima represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the nation’s National Day celebrations.
The Vice President joined other world leaders and dignitaries in the capital city of São Tomé to mark the Golden Jubilee of the Central African island nation’s independence from Portuguese colonial rule, which was achieved on July 12, 1975.
A post on X by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, on Saturday, 12th of July reads:
