Victims Recount Experience Of Kogi State Flooding

Following the flood that took over the Kogi state capital, lokoja in the recent times, some social media users have taken their time to recount their experience with the flood that ravaged.

One of the Facebook user who was a victim identified as Theophilus Impact, shared some photos from his compound which is still flooded days after the heavy downpour.

Sharing the photos, he said “This is my compound here in Lokoja where I have been a victim of flood for weeks. I know everything happens for a reason.
Father Lord let your will be done.”

Obansa Ibrahim, Who is also an identifier victim disclosed that Sunday was his last day at his residence along CAC Road in Lokoja, Capital of Kogi state.

Obansa shared “Finally, this morning I had to say goodbye to my residence of over 15 years. The warning came, the flood threatened, the water rises steadily and here we are, the water is finally here. This is CAC Road and Lokoja. But in all I give glory to Almighty Allah. It could have been worse but Allah took control. My sympathy goes to my neighbors. We have got to be strong and move on.
When there is life, hope is not lost. Checking out for good. Life goes on.”

Robertson Ere, a motorist who was also trapped during the ravage flood also shared some pictures and videos of how the flood affected the traffic.

Ere stated “2022 Flood: River Niger overflowing the Abuja-Lokoja road and causing traffic jam for motorists,’
