In the early hours of yesterday, a concerned motorist alerted the local police about an act of vandalism taking place on Carter Bridge.
Acting swiftly, officers from the Ebute-ero Division responded to the call and successfully apprehended a suspect in the act.
The individual identified as Mastru Mutairu, a 30-year-old male, was found actively vandalizing the bridge railings.
Realizing the presence of law enforcement, Mutairu attempted to flee the scene but was swiftly captured by the determined officers.
While Mutairu is now in police custody, the investigation into the incident is currently underway, police says.
