In a tribute on Memorial Day, Ambassador of the United States of America to Nigeria, Richard M. Mills, Jr. laid a wreath in honour of all American service members who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The ceremony, reflected the United States’ enduring commitment to remembering and honouring the sacrifices made by its military personnel.
Ambassador Mills paid respects to the fallen, stating that the gesture was in recognition of their service and ultimate sacrifice for the people and nation of the United States.
This was made known in a post on the X handle of the United States Diplomatic Mission Nigeria, on Monday, May 26.
The post reads:
