Nigerian Super Eagles player, Victor Boniface, has gone live on his social media handle to set the record straight on the failed transfer move to AC Milan and the wave of criticism directed at him by fans.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward admitted that the much-talked-about Milan switch did not materialize, citing his long-standing knee inj¥ry as a major setback.
Boniface revealed he had s¥ffered the inj¥ry twice on his right leg, which had affected his progress in the past.
“Day two, Milan didn’t work out just because of my past inj¥ries. I had a knee inj¥ry twice on my right leg, and it has been there for a long time,” he explained during the live session.
The Nigerian international, however, stressed that he is fully focused on his career in Germany, insisting that he no longer feels any discomfort and is working hard to reach his peak level again.
Addressing the criticism from fans over the coll@psed deal, Boniface hit back, urging people to respect the challenges athletes face.
“Try to make it to my level before you ins¥lt me,” he said firmly.
Despite the Milan saga, he remains a key figure for Bayer Leverkusen as the Bundesliga season unfolds.
