A group of armed terrorists on the rampage to wreak havoc in Modachi general area of Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State were intercepted by Nigerian Army troops deployed for Counter-terrorism operations in the North West region in close coo
rdination with a team from the Department of State Services (DSS). This action prevented a potential disaster and saved lives in Sokoto State.
A sizeable stockpile of weapons was found and a number of terrorists were eliminated as a result of the coordinated operation.
Seven terrorists were killed as the security forces put up a fierce fight against the group of terrorists who were traveling on multiple motorcycles.
Seven AK-47 guns, four motorcycles, two cell phones, and four machetes were also found by the forces.
