Troops of the Nigerian Army deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State have successfully suppressed two terrorists and captured their arms in a swift and decisive trap operation conducted in the early hours of Wednesday, 24th of July, 2024.
The troops responding to actionable intelligence, executed a well-coordinated operation along the Tasha-Bwari Road, a vital link between Gurara town in Kachia and Kagarko Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
This was disclosed in a statement via the Army’s X handle on Thursday, 25th of July, 2024.
According to the statement:
“During the operation, the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle, resulting in the neutralization of two terrorists, while others straggled away with gunshot wounds. The operation led to the recovery of arms and valuable intelligence, including an AK-47 rifle with a magazine containing 27 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 2 machetes, 2 mobile phones, and the sum of N80,000 only, along with other supplies.”
This successful operation not only destroyed a potential terrorist attack but also delivered a significant blow to the terrorist network operating in the State.
