The Nigerian Army’s troops effectively carried out search and clearance operations in the states of Borno and Nasarawa, eliminating terrorists and reclaiming weapons in the process.
On April 19, 2024, troops in cooperation with the Hybrid Force conducted a clearance operation in Borno State’s Kana Village, Biu Local Government Area. Troops engaged in combat with terrorists in the vicinity of Nguma Village during the operation, killing two of them in the ensuing gunfight.
Two AK-47 weapons, a motorcycle, six bicycles, and other random objects left behind by the terrorists who were leaving were also found by the military.
On the same day, Nigerian Army forces stationed in Nasarawa State carried out a Cordon and Search operation at a suspected criminals’ hideouts in Abuni Village in the Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, based on reliable intelligence.
Following the operation, two AK-47 rifles, two AK-47 magazines, and thirty-five 7.62 mm (Special) bullets were found. Other suspects were apprehended when the seized firearms were discovered in the home of a Mr. Abdullahi Musa. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
