Troops Kill 7 Terrorists, Recover Sophisticated Weapons In Zamfara

Troops of the Joint Taskforce NorthWest, known as Operation Hadarin Daji, have achieved significant victories against terrorists in Zamfara State.

During a series of clearance operations on June 5th, the troops successfully eliminated seven terrorists and confiscated four firearms in the Bukkuyum and Shinkafi Government Areas.

According to reliable sources, the troops conducted operations in the Galadi, Basamna, and Kayaye communities in Shinkafi Local Government Area. They effectively cleared terrorists’ camps in these areas, resulting in the neutralization of three terrorists. Additionally, two motorcycles belonging to the terrorists were destroyed.

On June 6th, acting on credible intelligence, the troops trailed terrorist movement along the Kumbo Community in Bukkuyum Local Government Area. In an offensive operation, they engaged the terrorists and successfully neutralized four of them.

The achievement was attributed to the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji deployed at the Forward Operating Base in Anka LGA. They swiftly mobilized upon receiving the information and engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle. As a result, four terrorists were eliminated, and a significant amount of weaponry was recovered. The seized items include four AK-47 rifles, two additional AK-47 magazines, four motorcycles, and 26 Special rounds.
