Troops Clears Band!t Hideouts In Benue, C@ptured 1 Alive (Photos)

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke on Monday assaulted a prominent bandit’s hideaway in Vingir village Gbise ward in Katsina Ala LGA in Benue state, capturing one of them alive while wounding others with gunfire.

The operation was carried out in response to information received about a well-known armed bandits’ hideaway, which has been frightening the state’s tranquil residents.

Intelligence sources reveal that troops stationed at Kufai Ahmadu and Kasuwan haske stormed the hideout to engage the terrorists. 

They made touch with the radicals who were aggressive upon their arrival. They were forced to retreat into the nearby bushes when the troops retaliated with more firepower.

After pursuing the escaping militants, the soldiers caught Dogo Manu, a 27-year-old man, alive using his Ak47 rifle.

at the same futile attempt, the soldiers stationed at Fikyu repulsed a bandit raid at Pukun inside the Fikyu general area of Taraba state’s Ussa LGA.

It was said that the bandits broke into the general area and started firing intermittently. But the soldiers moved quickly to put a stop to the violent fanatics and drive them to flee.

Following the gunfight, the soldiers conducted reconnaissance across the surrounding region and found ammo that the assailants had left behind. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
