Traders Starts Clean-up In Lagos Market To Avoid Shut Down

Traders at the Alaba Rago Market in Ojo, Lagos State, have embarked on a cleaning exercise to avoid sanctions from government officials for environmental infractions.

The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat, made this known in a post on his X handle on Tuesday morning, 24th of October, 2023.

His caption read,

“Aside from the ongoing clean-up on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway by our special squad led by ACP Bayo Sulaiman, which has already reached Alaba Rago, Igbo Elerin, and other parts, the Alaba Rago Market has started their own ‘magic clean-up’ of their market because they have seen the war against environmental infractions across markets in the state.”
