Tola Odeyemi visits IGP Egbetokun for collaboration on NIPOST’s infrastructural growth

Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Tola Odeyemi, has paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The visit focused on deepening the existing collaboration between NIPOST and the Nigeria Police Force, with particular attention to securing NIPOST’s widespread infrastructure, combating acts of vandalism, and addressing persistent challenges such as mail theft and postal fraud.

In a statement on Odeyemi’s X handle, she expressed sincere appreciation for the steadfast support the Nigeria Police has extended to NIPOST over the years, emphasising the urgency of reinforcing this partnership to better protect NIPOST personnel and facilities.

The statement partly reads:

“As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and reliability of postal services across the country, I paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector General of Police, #PoliceNG Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

“Our discussions focused on deepening the existing collaboration between #NipostNgn and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly in securing NIPOST’s expansive infrastructure network, curbing acts of vandalism, and tackling issues related to mail theft and fraud.

“I expressed appreciation for the consistent support the Nigeria Police has extended to NIPOST and emphasized the need for even stronger synergy to ensure the safety of our personnel, assets, and services. The Inspector General, in turn, reaffirmed the critical role NIPOST plays in driving national connectivity, economic growth, and community development, and pledged continued commitment to protecting our shared interests.
