Tobi Amusan, the Nigerian World Champion, has shared her excitement over her nomination for the year World Athlete award.
The world’s fastest 100m hurdler, Amusan was nominated as one of the 10 international Women’s Athlete of the Year award organised by World Athletics.
Amusan expressing her joy took to her Facebook handle today, Wednesday.
According to her “I’m short of words! ?? Through the grace of God, I have achieved so many ‘first by a Nigerian’ and this is yet another one. I’m so honoured to be selected as a World Athlete of the Year Nominee and the first Nigerian ever to reach this height!
“I have twice being named Nigerian Athlete of the Year by Athletic Heat Platform but this is my first international nomination and I want us to win it!,” she said.
